Corporate Pilot
Summary
This position serves as the Corporate Pilot for the CCS private aircrafts, responsible for the safety and comfort of passengers, and ensuring all flight and ground operations are conducted within the capabilities of the aircraft and follow FAA regulations. This position will have separate duties before, during and after each flight.
Position involves possessing an elevated level of professionalism, even under pressure, and having a flexible, calm, positive can-do attitude that adapts well to change. The position will need to maintain an elevated level of organization, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and utmost safety consciousness always.
Position receives supervision from the CEO.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Adhere to company Flight Operations Manual, aircraft specific SOPs and all FAA and foreign regulations.
Stay up to date on government regulations pertaining to aircraft, flying, and other job duties.
Prepare and file flight plans; communicate with and take directions from control towers.
Arranges ground transportation for CCS staff once they arrive at destination to include, requesting courtesy car or rental car if needed, prior to trip.
Conduct preflight weather checks and plane inspections for all flights, including but not limited to; engine fuselage, mechanical, structural, communication and navigational instruments, and emergency life-saving equipment.
Supervise and assist with loading and unloading of cargo and passengers.
Assure the aircraft is within weight and balance and performance limits for all flights.
Operate aircraft on the ground and in the air; respond and manage changing weather and ground conditions, changes in aircraft and emergencies to assure safety of all passengers.
Make decisions regarding delays, reroutes, or flight cancellations.
Adjust the flight to improve passenger comfort and experience. Communicate with passengers on the progress of the flight.
Monitor aircraft systems for flights, navigation, fuel loads.
Clean and stock airplanes cabins with supplies and food/beverages for the passengers.
Arrange or interface with ground transportation services and accommodations.
Wash, wax, vacuum aircraft.
Store the plane in a hangar.
Track and record passenger manifest and purpose of the trip with appropriate tax codes (CCS will provide).
Maintain electronic updates, upgrades, subscriptions, and registrations for the plane. i.e., Garmin (Cirrus Perspective+), XM Services, Global Connect, Jeppesen, Emergency Locator Transmitters (ELT) Registration, etc.
Assist in any additional insurance requirements.
Monitor and refill oxygen, TKS fluid and any additional required fluids or supplies needed for flights.
Manage oxygen mask inventory so that each CCS employee has their own mask, and they are labeled appropriately and, in the plane, when that person is traveling.
Manage any warranty claims with plane manufacturer.
Assist with future plane purchases for CCS Group.
Write and file any incident reports involving the aircraft or operations before, during or after.
Ensure personal fitness for flight.
Work with aircraft mechanics to ensure the airworthiness and legality of the airplane.
Perform all normal flight responsibilities, travel tasks, passenger requirements and other administrative duties as assigned by CEO to provide superior service to company personnel and customers.
Attend regular training, testing, and maintain all current certifications and/or licensures for the job.
Flights may consist of a single round trip or multiple legs to different cities, with layovers lasting hours or a day. The individual in this position must be willing and able to travel overnight and be available for last-minute flight needs.
Regular and dependable attendance is an essential function of this job.

Communication skills – pilots frequently use verbal communication skills to speak with control towers, ground control, and other members of the flight crew. They use written communication skills to fill out flight logs.
Motor skills – pilots need excellent manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and motor skills to operate numerous switches and controls in the cockpit.
Mechanical skills – pilots operate highly technical aircraft and aircraft instruments and inspect aircraft engines and equipment, all tasks that require excellent mechanical skills.

General
Must be legally able to perform work in the United States.
Must live within 30 minutes of Seward.
Must be able to obtain a current aviation medical.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, supervisors, and customers.
20/20 vision (or correctable to 20/20).
Must pass be able to pass pre-hire and random drug/alcohol testing.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma and flight training program
1,000 hours of total flight time preferred
Minimum of 500 hours PIC
Minimum of 100 hours of instrument time
Minimum of 100 hours of night-time flying
Minimum of 300 hours of cross country
Experience preferred in Piper M600, Cirrus SR22, Cessna 421 (Training available for the right applicant)
Excellent working knowledge of all aircraft systems, how they operate normally, and all procedures used in emergency situations in the event of a system malfunction.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Aircraft tools (gauges, meters, ignitions, dials, switches) and Communication tools (radios, headsets). Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Pilots make calculations regarding wind speed, temperature, fuel usage, aircraft speed, and many other factors, excellent math skills are essential for this career.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Word Processing software, Excel Spreadsheet software and knowledge of all aircraft computerized systems.

The position will work under pressure, as the individual will be responsible for the safety of the aircraft, passengers, and cargo.
